Woodside Cottage
A traditional, well-equipped and attractive
holiday house in the village
of Lamlash situated on the
coast of Scotland’s
spectacular Isle of Arran.
The house will comfortably sleep up to 6 to 8
people and is situated opposite a rocky beach enjoying stunning sea
views over Lamlash
Bay and The Holy Isle.
About Woodside
The house, which is 200 years old but
extensively modernised, sits in the village of Lamlash
with shops, pubs, pier, tennis, etc., all within easy walking
distance. There is a
patio and large lawn to the front of the house running down to a
quiet-ish road, which separates house and beach.
Next door is the Marine House Hotel.
Upstairs, Woodside has 3 double bedrooms and a box
room. Sleeping
accommodation is as follows: -
Bedroom 1 – 1 double bed (balcony at sea facing window)
Bedroom 2 – 1 double bed (balcony at sea facing window)
Bedroom 3 – 2 single beds
Bedroom 4 – 1 single bed
The main bathroom is also located upstairs
incorporating loo, bath and over-bath shower (additional toilet
downstairs).
Downstairs, Woodside enjoys an open plan layout
incorporating lounge, dining room and kitchen.
Front picture windows maximise the opportunity for sea views.
The kitchen is particularly well equipped including washing
machine, tumble drier, oven, hob, microwave, fridge, freezer and
dishwasher. (Note that
the opening of a fairly large new Co-op supermarket in Brodick has
recently enhanced the quality of food shopping on the island). The
lounge is also equipped with TV, video, stereo and telephone/fax.
Just in case it ever rains (!), there is also a
separate Games Room with full size pool table, dartboard and various
board games. Barbeque
also available for use.
The house is heated by wall mounted electric heaters
in all rooms.
